My connection with Jaimoe is through bestselling author and music journalist Alan Paul. Our paths crossed years ago through a shared love of Gov’t Mule and his writings on the Allman Brothers Band. Alan’s band, Friends of the Brothers, features Jaimoe occasionally, and it was through Alan that an opportunity came to design merch for Jaimoe’s 80th birthday celebration. It was a thrill to work on that project and to meet Jaimoe himself. Recently, I was asked to create more art for the latest run with Jaimoe as a special guest.
