Whipper and I first met backstage after a show when Artie and I opened for Kenny Wayne Shepherd. We both drove Mustangs, and a Shelby shirt sparked a conversation about the “Polecat”, his 1967 Raven Black Shelby GT350. Over the years, we’ve worked together on a mark, merch, and a caricature for charity. I was even fortunate enough during a visit to SXSW in Austin, to get a ride in the Polecat, a moment I will cherish forever through his kindness.
